Is anyone going on either day next week? If so wanna go in on a rental if you're staying near the airport?
Hi Matt Not sure of your dates but I am diving my own car and staying at the airport comfort inn. arriving on 4/14/19 dinner on 4/15 and driving on 4/16 and 4/17. We have room in our car for an extra two people. if that works for you write back and we will be happy to take you to and from. PS we have family in the Salt Lake area so we will arrive early and leave two or three days after the Track Attack. Thanks Larry

I appreciate it! Unfortunately I’ll be out there next week but it looks like it might rain

My dad and mom had a great time at dinner yesterday!

If you're there for the April 3/4, my dad is the funny one with the Silver Edge Sport who was telling everyone I have a green gt500

I had the pleasure of meeting them. They were in my group. They are very nice people. They took a couple pics of me and my neighbor that we posed for. I’ll post them up when I get home. Track Attack was awesome. I’m spending an extra day in SLC.

Don't really want to post a whole bunch of pics and give to much info about Track Attack for those that haven't gone yet. But I will say it was a first class experience for me from Reception to finish. If you get the Race Keeper jump drive, make sure your assigned car and the hot lap car usb port works. Mine worked great in my assigned car but the port on the Instructors 350 for the hot lap didn't work. So I didn't get that recorded but everything else was good to go. Oh and I spied this beauty slithering along out there.

We just wrapped up the April 8-9 session yesterday and it was fantastic!
Day 2 it rained, and there's a lot to be learned in the rain. Wish it had rained on Day 1 instead.
The skid car experience was really handy as I was able to save a near 90deg skid coming out of 4 on the West track.
The GT350 on Day 1 and GT on Day 2 were fine by me. They each drive slightly different and the GT will require a shift to 4 on the West side whereas the 350 can do all but a straight away in 3rd.
The instructors were great. They kept it lively and would tell you how to avoid using that insurance policy you may or may not have purchased.
I'd do it again.

Care to elaborate a little on this?

Guys, please DO elaborate and share for those of us who haven't gone yet - I'm going in July for 2 days with my brother in law on his VIN and will take him on mine next spring or summer ideally. I always enjoy myself more when I know what to expect and get pumped up by the enthusiasm of others - I do the same on sharing Indy 500 experience (500 event itself or driving experiences) tips. Especially good to hear from others we're spending some significant enough coin to learn & play. So, thanks for sharing & feel free to elaborate - anyone who wants to only be surprised can skip threads. Cheers!

I agree with the previous post. I feel like knowing more ahead of time makes me better prepared. Just like when I was still dragracing. anytime I went to a new track I always walked the track ahead of time. Don’t get me wrong I’m not planning on walking the road course.
Just wouldn’t mind knowing As much as I can ahead of time.

Here's your classroom. As you can see the track diagram is on the left. There is an East and West Track. They're were not connected for my class. We used the East Track on the left. The straight away on the southern end is cool but brief. I was able to hit 110-115 tops before you come to the tight left that requires hard braking. Miss that and you're into the stacked wall of tires. All track flagging is along this straight away. Green, Black, yellow, checkered. The flag man is position 20 ft or so high and cantilevered over the track. Pretty cool to go up there and watch the 350's scream by at 8k then hear them hit the ABS 1/8 mile later for the tight left.
