Agree with the above. The car is so much fun on the track.

The experience lit a fire under my ass to get my car on the track at least one or two times this year. Signed up for NASA Pocono this May.

They have promo codes for the Comfort Inn and Suites for $99/night. If you stay there, you're only about 7-9 minutes from the track. Easy in and out and the staff is very friendly.

That's where I got my room. I think the code is LGT350 or something like that.

There is also a comfy lounge to throw back a few cool ones in. The cool ones will have to be bought at the truck stop across the street but hey?

The Hyatt I stayed at for the first time, it wasn't bad and it was right by the airport, but it's over 25 miles away from the track, which sucks in the morning. I still suggest the Holiday Inn Express Tooele, 7 miles away.

On the ground in Tooele.

Landed just in time to catch a killer sunset over the Great Salt Lake on the drive out to Tooele.

Staying at the Comfort Inn...

Pros:
Nice location between the airport and the motorsports park.
Very friendly and helpful staff
Right at the confluence of Interstate 80 and State Hwy 36. Easy to get to.
There's a Denny's right across the street within walking distance.
There's a Porsche Race Car in the lobby.
Pool, spa, workout room.
Complementary Breakfast (Desk clerk said it's a good one, not continental)

Cons:
Right at the confluence of Interstate 80 and State Hwy 36. Fair amount of road noise and a truck stop integrated with the Dennys. Train tracks run behind the hotel. Desk clerk said it's a crap shoot noise wise.
There's a Denny's right across the street within walking distance. I ate some really unhealthy food there tonight.

More to come.

Update:
The Comfort Inn breakfast sort of blows. It's basically continental with some sort of nuclear eggs, sausage and potatoes mixed inn. You can make a hot belgian waffle though if that's your thing. If you want a quality breakfast you should head to the Dennys next door.

They do put out complimentary chocolate chip cookies in the evening. Complimentary newspapers in the lobby and 24/7 coffee as well.

Road noise isn't bad.

And now this...

Just attended 5/2 and 5/3 sessions. If you want a great experience and to learn what these great gt350's will really do this is a must. You will probably drive the school cars on the track harder than your own on the street or track. Exhaust whail is magnificent and the brakes are phenominal. Overall facility is probably as good as you'll ever see. Gt350 on one tighter track and almost all in 3rd gear. About 110 at 8200 in third at end of main straightaway. Don't realyy need to do much to prep car. More neg camber, higher temp brake fluid, roll bar and rear seat delete.

2nd day in boss302 frs race car with slicks. They take about 400 pounds out of the car, covert to coil overs and add a big wing. Straight pipes in a tin can. Awesome. If your already there don't miss the second day if you can swing it somehow. Instructors are very good and really want to teach you wherever possible.

Just got back from the 5/11 class a few minutes ago and can only echo your sentiments. The instructors, course material and driving was way beyond my wildest expectations. If you bought this car and don't do the Track Attack you're really missing out. We were on the East Track as well and the capabilities of the car blew my mind.

It was really nice to meet a bunch of other car folks and GT350 owners. All of them completely satisfied with their experience and then some.

I want to do it again!

I'm attending on May 25/26 and I'm a little apprehensive as I don't have any track time. When I drove during the GT350 track tour I think I was the slowest out there! Any advice from you guys that have done the track attack?

Just enjoy yourself. The instructors are very good and would rather see you drive a good line and be smooth. It will be a fun day you will not soon forget! You will also get to meet people that own/appreciate the same car.:D

You'll be fine. Just pay close attention in the classroom portions, ask questions and drive it like you stole it. The instructors are great. The instructors will show you what the car can really do during the ride-alongs at the end of the day.
