Who has two thumbs and a VIN code and an estimated delivery date?

Dealer called last night. Woot woot.
Told me the car barely made into the production date. Ford is swamped. He told me they are raising the price due to demand and also there will be delay for production. My guess is that Us has high demand also and the factory can't cope with it.

Good news: so we can assume that status "In transit" is reached about a month after production or, better assumption, that we will get "In transit" about twenty days before delivery!

I did it on 2-3 March, but the ordered on COTUS says 12 May. It took them two months to process or my dealers are so lazy?

I ordered on 27th of january and cotus says 27th of february, the exact date my dealer told me that Ford approved the order.

I ordered on the 27th of January as well and Cotus says 30th of April. :doh:

EDIT: Sorry, 27th of February as well.... 30th of April is "In Order Processing complete"... So from that we can say all are really getting pretty much similar Cotus results.

According to what my dealer said me when I ordered mine, EU orders were actually processed (I mean, approved then by Ford) in batches, that is, they awaited until a certain number or orders were placed and then, they processed internally the orders.

In my case, I ordered to dealer on February 10, but COTUS shows also February 27 as the order date, just as many of all us. Hence 27 Feb is when all orders comprised in the first batch became approved by Ford as such.

All there ordering/processing times are very confusiong..once again...
As mentioned I ordered on 22/01 !! and Cotus says 27/04 !
My dealer always told me I was going to be part of his second batch. First batch were 2 showroom cars (one to show one to drive) and 3 orders a couple of hours before mine !!addle:
There were also a number of topics on the forum saying the EU to Ford US orderbook was only going to be processed somewhere around 22/03.
Some of us with less succesful ford stores (?) seems to be very lucky by being part of the first batches...
In second we have the allocated qty's where DE & FR gets higher numbers than BE, Czech, Poland, Swiss meaning the chances to get your car faster over there is realistic...
Nothing much we can do unfortuneatly than sit and wait...:hail:
