I don't see the issue with a light shift knob.
The lighter the knob, the more force you need to apply in order to move to the next gear. With a notchy transmission like the mt82, the increased weight helps to counter some of that feeling. I know ill eventually ill end up buying a 600-700g+ knob for my 15.

The boomba is a great knob over stock imo. Feels good, I like the material of construction, and its 220g which is ~65% heavier than stock. Solid black with just the shift gate pattern and small logo at bottom. No bright colors or glossy finish, so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb and looks like it could be a factory piece.. and thats exactly the look I prefer

I'm still gonna try the speed dawg, since they have so many options and colors.

I wonder how the weight difference will be, but you can alway return it with 30 days.

Wish Boomba had more options
Installed my "Speed Dogs" Ford Racing logo on the side, black on white classic last weekend. It is lighter, about 1/3 less than stock. Doesn't bother me or affect my shifting. I like it! The stock one felt good but...it just didn't look like it belonged in a muscle car. Imo, it looked like in maybe belonged in one of thoose retro Thunderbirds a few years back

I guess it's just trivial to me. How much force do you need to move a lever a few inches? But, if it feels good do it.

It smooths out the notchy ass transmission, don't look so deep into it.

I have the same knob but with 5.0 on the side instead. I love the look and the size but I would like more weight.

Is it at all likely that someone will start making heavy knobs in more classic designs?

There isnt a lot of knobs im remotely interested in. :-/

Come on, offer your knobs in white too. Two easy basic colors. Lots of people are picking white knobs. Id be all over one of your current knobs or this even heavier coming, in white. :)

I was looking at Flossy. Did you take a peek at those?
I was seriously considering Flossy - they advertise some nice features, good weight, good finishes, resistant to becoming a hot coal in the sun.

Until I googled them. Dude, fuck that. Just read 5 pages on these threads from other car forums:

Guy never ships, doesn't respond to emails, returns are not accepted, customers are filing paypal disputes and credit card charge backs. Not to mention that nice "griptape" finish ends up cracking after a few months, according to owners.

Just a heads up. I've dealt with 1 man companies like this before, its a giant headache and not worth that gamble. Would not touch with 10 ft pole.
