Are there any weighted leather knobs out there? Something like a bmw ZHP knob? I hate ball shift knobs.
Not sure, Its hard enough finding any weighted knobs for this car, I think your best bet would be to make/order a custom one. The issue is that the bottom needs a big hollow area for the reverse lockout. Im sure there will be alot of shift knob options available with time tho. Any knob that you can order as a direct fit is designed only for the 2015 mustang so right away we can't use any of the hundreds of already existing knobs with our thread pattern. So the amount of shift knobs on the market may always be a little limited to who takes the time to make one for our cars.

Can anyone else respond as to how their actual shifts felt with the roush/50 year knob since they are lighter. Any impact on the actual feeling of the MT82 shifts? Not just hand feeling

I say I can feel everything mechanically in the shifter/transmission more when shifting with the 50 year. It's pretty neat. The effects were hidden more in the oem shifter knob.

I'd love a knob weight and shaped like this. It's the most comfortable knob I've ever used.

Guess I'll just keep waiting. Wonder why ford has that weird toggle for reverse.

I think the feel and weight of the OEM shift knob is near perfect. Esthetically its a little plain, but it is highly functional based on its feel.

It does have some heft to it as I held it when my Barton shifter was being installed.

But who knows, I'll probably get bored of its looks and pick up something else.

I know these are expensive compared to whats on the market, but they look and seem to be what I'm looking for...

A member on the forum offered his S550 as tester and is currently working on fitments for it. I emailed the company and they responded saying they'll have products for release in a couple months. For now, the stocker is good for me!

I do remember reading that they are made to order, but the site also says "ships within 5 to 7 business days" so it was a little bit of a let down.
It says it down in the product description.

Yea I did offer my car and they got all the measurements but they threw a curve ball and decided to make an adapter instead. He said it was more cost effective but in the end I fear it'll cost him more as I don't think many will buy an adapter and a knob. At least that's the last thing he told me. To me, that's a complete disappointment as an adapter will only add more unnecessary bulk and height to the knob and I think its an eyesore. I have a knob coming from Lathewerks as of now, I think I will be the first one. They were the next best thing. I will post pics as soon as its in. Probably will be another week or 2.

Here's a link. They don't have 2015 mustang on the site yet, so I will be a guinea pig but they have all the dimensions required so it should fit. The focus St and Fiesta St forums have a few guys with these knobs and they love them. There are even more on the Subaru forums.

I think its mostly safety because on the 11-14 you had to push the knob down for reverse, and since 1st and reverse are so close on the 6 speed, people who rested their hand too hard or pushed down by accident were engaging reverse instead of first lol.

This led to the possibility of embarrassing moments and possible accidents when stopped at intersections
