I installed my MGW this past weekend and ripped out the threads out of the stock knob (because they're plastic ), then I tried to put on my Anarchy knob, but the counter bore did not fit over the MGW adapter so it does not sit down all the way. I will get another stock one from BmacIL (thanks buddy ), but I was also wondering of getting another custom one. I want to do some engraving on it and would ask Anarchy to make it, but I think it would be too big and heavy. I would like to get a knob that weights about 300g and is a little bigger than the stock. Anyone got any suggestions who to work with?
Interesting.... I have the MGW with the adapter for the stock shift knob. My goal was to use the aftermarket Ford Racing knob I had on my stock shifter, but the ID of the counter sunk hole for the reverse lockout was not wide enough. I was wondering if I would have this issue with someone else's shift knob
Anarchy Motive, the OD of the MGW reverse lockout is 33mm. The Ford Racing aftermarket knob ID for the counter sunk hole is 32mm. The factory reverse lockout collar OD is 30.5mm. MGW made the reverse lockout collar to fit nicely inside the factory knob, where as the Ford lockout is a sloppy fit.

Wait...it didn't fit over the reverse lockout?

Can you PM me some pics? Maybe I can help with a solution.
Pm'ed my friend :) Did you do any changes to the inner diameter? My knob was one of the early ones, as in I got it when you had the group buy like a year ago!

Has anyone done or is anyone able to do a turned metal knob to match the dash on PP cars?

This finish?

Yes. Im not an expert on this but it looks like its done to a flat metal sheet then bent into shape, not aure if it can be done to a round knob but imho it would really match the interior well.

I can see what the finish would look like on a raw brushed knob hit with a matte clear coat. Off the top of my head that's the closest I think you could get to that.

Maybe a matte silver, but you won't have the brushed grain.

I can do some research and see what I can find. I found a wrap, like 3m, that's similar. But I honestly don't know if I'd be able to wrap a knob and make it look right.

Keep us posted. The only other thought would to take a thin sheet of the pre textured metal and wrap a knob in it. But the work that entails and the effort to keep it from distorting would probably be immense, if its even possible. Ill also put it out there im not looking for a strictly round knob.

Has anyone done a true Deep Impact Blue knob? Or are they all "kinda-sorta comes close"?
