Maybe on 25hp gain, but it's much quicker. What's not to like. It sounds like it's probably on par in stock form with the Camaro SS now. At least 0-60 anyway. Maybe faster in the quarter
For now though. 2019 camaro's will get the 10 speed auto and possible power bump as well!

4.0 from...what? 4.5?

Doesn't sound like much, but I bet it's a big difference, one you can feel. And I'd bet it can get under 4 stock, and Ford's being conservative.

Can't wait to see some stock dyno runs.

Says under 4 seconds and I believe Ford quotes the 2015-2017 gt at 4.7 seconds. So say 3.9 from 4.7 sounds pretty decent to me

Source? That suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks if it's true. Hell, you get 20HP with just a tune on 2015-2017s. That's 455HP.
They say that, but tuning companies won't take long to figure out a way and I'm sure Ford will still develop power packs

I hadn't heard any of that. Hell, a tuned 2015-2017 with better tires will give a 2018 car a run for it's money.

I'll be damned..........what's the source? Ford?

Challengers have to swap out their entire ECUs for a tune. Not the most user friendly thing to do.

The 2015-17 might have a chance, but idk the new '18 has the superior 10-speed auto and drag mode. So even if it makes as much power, it's still not going to have the fast shifting trans. Yeah idk people were talking about the tune lock some months back. It's probably earlier in this thread if you feel like digging for it. Otherwise google you can probably find something about it. Still I'm pretty sure companies will find a way to get around the tune lock

It's weird. I wouldn't think Ford would hit the Mustang after-market that hard.

That's pretty brutal for Lund/BAMA/etc.

I probably wouldn't go for a tune right away since companies usually take some trial and error to get the tune right anyways

I remember....the first 2011 Coyotes and tunes.

#8 cylinders going up in flames left and right. Short-block sales through the roof.

Do the 2015-2017 Coyotes have cylinder-head coolant flow from bank-to-bank at the back of the engine?
