I'm sure @stevec won't mind me adding these...as a willing volunteer, I gave Steve a hand tidying up the paint on his Chevy truck. Started off with a bit of a blend of the original colour and a little metallic in places...badges/chrome came off, original finish wet sanded before adding strategic primer, then a nice coat of the colour you see in the final shots, sanded down through to the primer in places for a nice patina effect. Photo's don't do it justice, but the paint has really been brightened up, looks a lot tidier overall and considering neither of us had done it before, we were pretty pleased! Only covered up to the back of the doors and the roof (started with beige, then changed to white), so round 2 will happen soon
the want for a truck is stronger than ever lol
