hi guys, so on my 2017 gt the steering wheel has always been off center, I had the same problem with my 2016 Mustang v6, I had them realigned at dealership but still was off. On my gt I thru Steeda suspension which dropped it very lil but it’s still a lil of center the wheel points to the right slightly, has anybody encountered this problem even after alignments??

I've seen posts about it. Since there are no splines on the steering wheel, centering it has to do with how the toe is adjusted. If I understood what I read, they just need to move the toe adjustment for each side the same amount until the steering wheel is how you want it.

Ohh, i will try that cuz its annoying, did u have that issue also? Am surprised the dealer didnt figure it out. So basically they have to make sure the toe in is the same exact on each side?

Didn't have it myself, just read where others did. And its not necessarily getting the adjustment to appear the same on each side because that would not guarantee the steering wheel is straight. To adjust the steering wheel you would (for example) angle the driver wheel toe slightly clockwise and the passenger side the same amount in the same direction. That way the toe (angle the wheels point toward or away from each other) remains the same but the steering wheel would rotate when the car is pointed straight ahead. I'm not an alignment guy, so probably aren't using the right terms, but I hope you get the idea.

Any good alignment shop can fix this. Your dealership just doesnt care enough to do a quality job.

Go find a better shop. Alignments arent rocket science, but they are finicky and annoying to dial in just right.
