TO me, there have to be a good reason to store another set of wheels and tires. So unless I was going to be pushing the vehicle in a way that a shorter/stiffer sidewall is going to improve my vehicles performance when used in that manner it is a waste of money and space to have a set of 19" and 20" . now if you are tracking it and your drivers skill level is great enough that a jump to the stiffer set up makes sense ,then by all means have at it.
But if it is just street driving you gain nothing unless the style wheel you wanted did not come in the 19". Then I get it, need to look good over driving good. BEEN there grew out of it 30+ years ago.
To me, I don't change things unless it adds to the performance or at least the look. and if I changed wheels because I like the look, the oem smaller size would only get used if I drove the beast in the snow as the "I don't care if I curb these"
Everyone likes different things, but many don't understand they go 3 steps backwards with some of their "up grades" in street ride and performance.
Exactly why I do it. At least part of what you said. I do not like the look of the stockers, not one bit. And the only reason I keep them is for winter driving. I take road trips as well, & that's when those stockers come in handy. But in the end, it's all just a personal opinion, and as we all know, opinions are like buttholes, we all have one & they all stink.

Here you go OP. As far as 20”, I have 20’s for my summer set and the ride quality has not diminished from the stock 18”. Stick with a 35 profile tire and you’ll be fine

19’s are the best looking size on S550. Going up 1” is useless except for that you can tell people you’re on 20’s….and maybe feel better about yourself. In that case, just go 22’s???
LOL Cory 22s are cute... but wait until OP gets into 40+ inches. 🤣

Ya, Fords standard wheels on the eb and gt prem. are um. "special" . Don't know if ford is getting a kick back from the aftermarket to put on blah wheels or what.
Part of why I had to have the HHP was the standard wheels looked off, the other part is I wanted a car I'd not mod for a few years while I needed the modd'n budget to goto the vehicle already blown apart.
So I get it.
