Oddball question.

I just picked up a set of 17x10.5 americanmuscle bullitt anthricite wheels with 17x10 hoosier slicks off a guy on craigslist. I verified they fit on my 16 base gt. According to the americanmuscle website they dont... Anyways before i found this deal, I had already ordered a set of smaller/lighter front tires i was going to put on the stock 18" wheels, but now I want to put a matching wheel on the front. Americanmuscle sells a 18x8 wheel that matches the rear, but again says it doesnt fit an s550. Anybody see any reason why it wouldn't fit?

Possibly because of the front brake calipers actually hitting the back of the spoke.
