Drop the obvious stuff. Spare tire if you have one, subwoofer if you have one, strut and k brace, both sway bars, back and passenger seat if you really want to go nuts, engine and battery covers, exhaust saves quite a bit going aftermarket. On my car recently I shaved about 300 lbs out of it from stock for fun. Stumpy dumped catless exhaust, big and little tire setup, and the above mentioned stuff.Precisely

Take the audio system out, carpet padding, a/c, how race car you wanna go? LOL After those it gets expensive.
