I live in southwest Kansas where I'm lucky to get octane 91. No 93 and no E85 within miles. Would using an octane booster help at all? If so, what would you suggest?

Thanks

Tune for the gas that is readily available. For insurance at the strip, TORCO.

Torco (Amazon, etc.) and Race Gas Concentrate (from MAP) work and actually boost the octane. However, boosters leave everything inside the combustion chamber covered in an orange velvet looking coating when it burns. It's been debated for ages as to whether that will affect the performance or operation of a car over time, but nothing definite has been proven that I've seen from either side. I don't run it myself, but I know quite a few people that has. Do a little Google research and see what you think.

Kansas is a rough place brother. I live 30 minutes from the nearest ethanol free Top Tier 91 supplier. BUT I work less then 6 minutes away from 2 different E85 suppliers.
It pains me whenever I have to use that Casey's General Store 89....

First off....why do you want it? Are you getting a tune? If you are getting a tune I would get one for 91 and one for 93. You can make the 93 your race tune sort-of-speak and boost it when running it.
If you are not getting a tune then it is not needed. The Mustang is good on 87 stock and there is like a 5hp dif between 87 and 93 on a stock tuned car.
