Is that really warranted?
Not at all. But this is the Internet. It's also a movie quote, along with a Simpsons quote "kill it with fire"

For the record... It does in my opionion look terrible. The badges are tacky and the rear is totally lopsided and busy. The lights however are somewhat nice to look at.

I am obviously stating my own opinion as is everyone else. All that matters is that the owner likes it

Sadly they just are the factory fade out stripes (not everyones thing) spotties look OK rear badge not to my liking....I wouldn't say "burn it with fire" but I think we should because I don't think this owner is done yet??? there is more ebay stuff to come..

Triple Yellow GT in Wollongong.

Bonnet wasn't too bad, slightly raised on each side.

Left hand side of rear window......oh my :bolt:quite noticable from the right.
Quarter panels okay.
First time I have seen TY in sunlight, quite tasty.:clap2:

Can someone please explain to me what the common issue with the rear windscreen is? Is it metalwork misalignment or the glass is raised?

Apparently, it's down to an inconsistent amount of sealant being applied to the channel on either side of the glassed area. An easy fix, one would have thought.

I saw a Race Red GT fastback angle parked in Goulburn CBD around 11.00am yesterday morning.

A braver man than I!

I am wondering if it is something more sinister than just that.

The issue seems to affect the left hand side only.
If a customer complains about it, dealers in the USA have been removing the screen and "loading" with sealant to raise it.
I cant see how an inconsistency of sealant application would have one side sitting lower than the other.

Hmmm....... if the frame for the screen was not square, this might explain it:shrug:
However, it is not affecting all cars, much like rear 1/4 alignment and bonnet pinch, so that kind of stalls my theory somewhat.

Again however, these issues have ben reported from when the S550 was first put into production, and they are still occurring. This is what I am concerned about

Hence my use of the word "apparently".

If that were in fact the case, one would think a simple adjustment to the goo squirting contraption at the factory would rectify the issue immediately.
