On the Miata forum we prefer XPEL clear bras.

I had XPEL and it was great. I was talked into Suntek now by the same PPF installer I used for XPEL since they are caught up technology wise with the self healing. The major difference you'll see is the texture. I believe the Suntek looks much better now when comparing and they both have the same 10 year warranty. I can't say how great it is yet since I've only had it on a few months, but time will tell.

Don't get me wrong, I loved my XPEL ultimate. It did a wonderful job self healing rock chips. I just think the competition had time to catch up now and improve on it even further as far as a looks standpoint.

I bought the NoviStretch. Really like it. Easy on/easy off. Fits in my arm rest. It takes me two minutes to put it on if I'm heading down the highway. Easy to clean too. Just throw it in the wash.

This one is really nice for Autox as protection from cone scuffs... But does not protect areas where 90% of rocks/stones hit the hood.

From past experience I would NEVER put another bra on any of my cars. I had a black EXP in the 80's and put a bra on it to protect the paint. I had to have some work done on the car and the mechanic had to remove the bra to get to some part. When it came off, it looked like someone had painted clouds on my car. The color had totally faded on my car and I had to have it repainted.

This sounds great, I'm still trying to decide what to get for my Mustang, so I'll consider Suntek if I can find an installer around where I live. There's a XPEL installer 10 min away from my place now so I'll probably still go with XPEL, don't want to drive a long way and get rock chipped on the way to install a clear bra...

I wouldn't be too worried about this , it's 2017 now, tech has changed a great deal over the past 30 years.
