Just got a new 2020 GT with the basic wheels
235/50/18

What are some beefy looking tire sizes I can put on the back rims?

I'll eventually get aftermarket rims, more then likely stagard set up so I'll ask those questions when the time comes but for now I'm fine just running beefier/wider if possible in the rear. Spacers I'm looking to buy as well just don't know what size yet.
Thanks!

I think the base GT wheels are 8" so you might be able to go a little bit wider than 235 but probably not too much without a lot of bulge and not much added benefit. For the amount of money you'd spend on new tires, you might be better off seeing if you can find a take off set of PP1 wheels and tires that come with the pilot sport 4s tires. Wheels are 9" front 255/40/19 and 9.5" rear 275/40/19. Take off sets can usually be had for around $1k or so depending on mileage and what not.

There's nothing 'beefy' which will work well on a 8" wheel. Just save your nickels and dimes for wheels. you could go to a 245 or even a 255, but its not going to make much of an impact.

I agree with sjmurphey. If you were to switch from the OE tires, front and rear, you will pay almost as much as getting a set of take-off wheels and tires that are often posted for sale on here. If you don't want/like the PP wheels, people are always posting other aftermarket wheels for sale also.
