I have a 2016 GT performance pack with a 3 inch magnaflow competition catback on the car currently. I'm sitting here about to order a set of kooks headers. My question is should I worry about the connection to the X pipe dropping down to the 2.5 inch or should I not worry about it? Will I be giving up anything power from the exhaust being 3 inches everywhere else and it dropping down to 2.5 inch at the Xpipe or is it a nonissue?

I looked around and tried to search for threads talking about this, but I guess did a shitty job since I couldn't find much. Thanks for any advice!

N/a it will be fine. If you ever go forced induction you should think about keeping it all 3"

You won't need 3" until you start pushing a lot more power, like north of 600whp. With a N/A setup including manifold and headers you'll be lucky to ever hit 500whp, so you're fine with 2.5" unless you decide to get into forced induction.
