I just dropped off my ecoboost at the dealership for not getting any boost.I was driving going around 40 mph and gave it a little gas, so i could merge onto the highway. When doing so i heard a loud popping sound with a lost of air pressure. I figured it may have been the tire so i pulled over to check it out. Everything seemed ok, until i tried getting back on the highway and noticed it was a bit slugish and a loud suction noise. I look over at the boost gauge and sure enough there was no boost.:(

probably a coupler that popped off, there was another user here that had a clamp come off. Easy fix, I wouldnt stress over it, it happens, get vbands when you can :)

Same thing happened to me about a month ago. I bet it's the hose from the inter cooler to the turbo. It wasn't installed properly at the factory.

Ha. as a person that does my own work. ..Sucks that someone has to bring a car back to the dealer for something as easy as a tube popping off. Would be a huge inconvenience and the fact that I couldn't trust leaving my car with anyone at a dealer.

When it happened to me, I was going to climb under there and fix it myself., however I ended up taking it to the dealer so it would be documented in case it becomes a wide spread issue that requires a recall.

I'd blow off the elbow going into the intake on my Mazdaspeed until I replaced it with a metal unit. A known issue on some turbos.

Most everybody could fix something like that... However, you never know if a DIFFERENT problem has been created. Best to take it to a person who has to do free warranty work for you.

I guess. For me though in my 2000 GT and 04 Mach 1, they were never brought back. But they were also modded instantly. Lol!

Buy T-Bolt clamps and there wont be a recall on something that happens to most boosted performance cars

Looks like Ford shifted the toddlers they use to tighten clamps on the Focus ST over to the Mustang Ecoboost assembly line.
