The crank is the same one in the GT's and BOSS on the prior years and still the same one used. Crank will hold well over 700. It's the pistons / rods that will be limited like previous years.

Did they tell give you the measurements of the ring land?

Took this pic today at SEMA.. Plenty of beef above the top compression ring.

Rods look beefy as hell too..
Now that I look at it, this may not be a 100% accurate photo. The piston looks like a 2011-2012 pistons as apposed to the said improved 13-14 piston.

See here:
11-12 pistons on left 13-14 piston on right.

I'll look at it again.. The part number on the piston shows the last few as "10-FA". The new one in your pic shows "08-EC". But, it also doesn't match up to the older number either.

Haha Nah, It came out of a fire truck.

But I can tell you the size of those engines, though. They are V16's with 11" bores and 11" strokes. You need an overhead crane to remove the piston and rod assembly. The block costs a cool $400,000. JUST the block...
googling - i came upon the Catapillar 797 which now has a V20 engine.

displacement is 5.3L per cylinder, for a total of 106L.

quad blown = ~5000 hp

0-60... um.. well.. top speed is 42 MPH.

For comparison's sake.. the largest dozer engine is 32L and costs well over $100k :D

A v16 with an 11" bore and 11" stroke is 16,726ci or 274L.
I realize that this will add nothing to this thread, but all I could think of after reading this is a fire truck with a chrome 274.0 emblem on the fender. Rollin in my 274 point 0... :)

Maybe new part number is for larger diameter valve reliefs. But I see what ya'll are saying, '13-14 extra groove is definitely gone.

700whp is impressive.

Thanks for all the info!

Since we're on the topic lots of boost and horsepower, I'm working on this Cummins right now got boost?

But back on topic how long do stock coyotes last boosted? I plan on having a 600 Whp horsepower daily driver.

I'd think that a 600 rwhp DD WITH A GOOD TUNE and PLENTY OF FUEL should last a pretty long time!

I come from GM's, but over there, to have a 600+ RWHP car last a long time isn't too uncommon. I had a blown LS1 C5 that had meth and was self tuned that put down 600+ to the wheels, through an automatic and still had the stock block and bottom end in it. That car was done in 2004 and is still running today on the same setup.

There are quite a few GM cars doing that too, so I'd guess it wouldn't be that different for a Ford product too.

Just a guess, so Please take it for what it's worth.
