I got behind a low-boy hauling a paving machine last week and the A$$-Hole driver never bothered to sweep the trailer bed - gravel falling off all over the interstate and I took a hit on the bumper (1800 miles on the car)..
I will be getting a nose mask as I drive my car for business (2K-3K p/mo).. The least expensive I've seen is here:

Well I just took off the tape and I remember I heard a rock hitting my car on my trip so I told myself I got the tape to protect it. This morning I found out the rock that hit my car actually ripped threw the tape and put a nice chip on top of the bumper.

This is why I tape it. Guarantee it would of been much worst without it.

because clearbras aren't 100% clear.
with the new films they are pretty dam clear if you ask me. i had my SHO done 2 years ago, the film used on it was pretty clear, not 100% but close enough but a new film has come out since then that i had installed on the mustang, its clear as can be, you CAN NOT see it unless your 2ft from the car and all you can see is the line.
my sho has 30k miles and the clear bra still looks brand new and still no rock chips...

and painters tape and a black mask is? clear bras are pretty clear. they are very elastic as well and wont rip when a rock hits it. you would have to full on drive a screwdriver by hand through the clear bra to actually rip it. as long as you wash the car and wax here and there the bra should be good. had clear bra on my old evo and after about 4 years the bra was still clear. i cleaned it about every 2 weeks, sometimes 3 weeks, or sometimes a whole month with moderate waxing here and there. had it on my 12 as well for about 2 years also, and that i sometimes go about 3 or 4 months without washing. even after that, the bra is still clear. ya sometimes you can see the bra line at certain angles, but it isnt that bad as people may think. looks a lot better than a black bra or painters tape to be honest.

anywho...to each their own...first thing i did when i picked up my 15 was clear bra. best mod ever. then i sold it, my next stang will get clear bra first thing also.

I've done the tape method myself on my 2013 GT for a long trip, but used a cheap brand tape and it was hell getting the leftover adhesive residue off. I'd say I'll be investing in one of these for long trips myself....

Wow! Poor mans wrap. Don't leave it on to long, especially with the sun baking it on there. It Won't come off a easily as you think. I had clear bra's installed on my last three cars. I decided that its just a car and not worth it. I don't keep them long enough to care anymore. It averaged about $1,000 a pop. I figure if it gets road rash, I'll have it painted.

In year or so, I could be driving a Vette, GT350, or a 2017 CTS-V Cadillac.

Hello..........

I know if the one that's offered by Hillbank and a few others have the velcro tabs around the fog lights to hold the cover in place..
The instructions say the velco tabs are "only needed when racing or high speed driving" (this is a Mustang, right?) to keep the flap on the body of the car..
Anyone who's bought one of these - did you use the velco tabs, which means you have to stick the other half of the tab on the bodywork..? OR did it work OK without the tab stuck to the car (didn't beat the paint off the body while driving down the road as it flapped around..)
Feedback?

TX!
