Just had my backup camera replaced and now there is no parking assist lines. Did they do away with that? Checked camera settings and don't see anything there.

I'm almost positive the lines were a setting.

One thing is turn your wheel. If your wheels are straight, you won't see the white lines. If you see the black dotted line in the middle, it's there. I thought maybe it was under "Driver Assist" "Rear Parking Aid" but I could turn that on or off and the lines were still there.

Looks like the camera needs to be flashed.... sorry for posting this in the wrong thread. Going to have to take it back to the dealer, they need to replace the rear shocks anyhow... 20k check at 17k miles and they are already starting to leak.

yea, reflash the software if you don't have a setting. We get it a lot at work.

One thing we havent been able to fix is if its slow to bring up the camera, and I'm starting to have the problem. fun...

I'm wondering what your original problem was, I'm having a problem but its only on extremely hot days. When I leave the car at work facing the sun, when I come back it says camera not available. Itll usually work by the time I get home to park. Of course it never acts up when I go to the dealership, I have taken photos and videos and that hasnt been good enough for them.

Perhaps the camera sensor is overheating in the sun?
