Have my 19 gt premium about 3 months.i only use flash drive on usb port.have 1000 songs on it.well today after I cranked up car,the sync screen popped up saying select source.its been just opening usb since first time I used car,Ok I select usb and it says no media.fooled with turning car off on,removing media putting it back in .nothinh.so I've got a duplicate song flash drive in my truck, put that into mustang and usb starts right up.go back to my truck, put in the usb from the mustang and it works fine.same exact media flash drive.rhe only thing I noticed is when I put the truck flash drive into gt usb slot it indexed all the music.as an engineer is love to know what happened.any thoughts.

As for your problem who knows, but 1,000 songs?......I have about 15,000 songs in my home media collection and can only come up with about 40 to put on my cars usb drive that I would want to crank in the car at anytime, lol.

The USB connection can be flaky. I have about 1800 songs on a USB drive inserted into the slot in the center console. My phone goes into the one on the dash. On a couple of occasions, I get into the car, start it, the song on the USB drive begins to play, and then both USB ports go offline when I plug in my phone. The solution when that happened has been to turn the car off, let it go to sleep, and clean the pocket lint out of the phone's slot before plugging it in. The car does not like marginal USB connections at all.

A side note: Anyone else frosted that the car's audio system apparently can't be bothered to read the MP3gain parameter? Having to continually adjust the song level is a real PITA.
