I will most likely be relocating to the Ft. Worth area pretty soon. I heard they emissions test there, is that true? If so, what do you guys with headers do? Do the high flows let you scrape by? Do you have to "know" a guy?

I moved TX from FL, I had my Bullitt without cats for 3 years without issues.
You will need to pass inceptions every year. They could look under the car but they never did with mine.
They are focusing on the check engine light, I had the electronics to by pass it so I did not get a check engine light.
High flow cats are pretty good nowadays, that could be your fall back if need be.
I have a 2016 now and I'm keeping the cats so that I don't have to worry.
Hope this helps...

Actually it all depends on what county you live in. Some require obd2 tests while others are your basic safety visual inspection. I have a 16 so havent had to do one yet. I've heard of some using spark plug defoulers with mixed reviews.

Tarrant County is an emission (OBD2) county. Generally no one looks indepth unless they have been fined before for not looking but otherwise will just look for no CELs and all the driving basics (turn signals, horns, tires, tint).

Thanks guys! I was worried they were going to hook up a sniffer to the tail pipe.

I won't recommend any place specifically but drive around the North side of town on Sunday morning and look for what places are open and have a line. The sniffer is only used on pre OBD2 cars, meaning before 1995.

Maybe you should come out and enjoy some with us some time stranger... lol
No kidding! Ugh, been in the process of selling our house and building a new one. I am hoping the dust is going to settle soon though.
