Shiiiitttt.. More to tires then just treadwear (varies with each manufact)and temp rating. Id actually consider nittos to be just another chepa tire. IMO
Guys with Vipers, who likely can afford whatever tire they want seem to disagree:

http://forums.viperclub.org/threads/661959-Nitto-Invo-s-or-NT05-s

Here's a couple quotes:

-I've had 2 Twin Turbo vipers, both have only had nitto invo's. Considering I ran 5.80's (8 second 1/4 mile) in the 1/8th mile on a 19/20 invo setup, I'd say that tires work just fine. Nobody else has come close to that with any other tire.

-I'm using Invo's as my street tires on the ACR now. Better traction than PSC unless the PSC's are hot, not as much max traction as the PSC's when hot, better ride quality than the PSC's, very happy with them so far.

-Got lots of miles and 3 track days on my Invos. Would be hard pressed to find a better tire for the price.

I am running a set of Nitto Invo on mine. Can't say anything about them in my area we got some severe rain storms this year they did just find in them. There side tread pattern and design on the sidewall is what helped pushed me that way. I hate tires that look like they are rally car tires lol. I will be putting another set on my car handling is great and so is wet and dry traction. My biggest concern is yet to be seen is tread life.

iirc they arent a very flattering looking tire. they look odd, like your tires are worn down prematurely.

I think there is a set on my gfs car. Ill check and verify.

IMO, it's a really cool looking and unique tread pattern that separates itself from your usual run of the mill tires. Your avg joe schmore who sees them will probably be thinking whoa those are some fancy tires ;)

I mean everyone is open to their own opinion, but the Nitto tires are not cheap. A sunny D tire is cheap lol, I love Nitto tires they are wide but sit slim their good on price comparable for the size to its competition. Its a win IMO based on the fitment.

The tires you got are good bro, you'll get good treadlife ( put into consideration of road condition, driving conditions)

Thinking about trying some Invos this time since I didnt have any luck with the NT05R... im on the side of the fence that thinks the Invos tread pattern is ugly, but I dont think anyone is going to make fun of my car because of the tread pattern

Honestly, I give two f*&#s what the tread looks like. I want a tire that performs in all road conditions, and invo's do. I had to got with NT05's due to the INVO's not being available at the time. They will be my next set though.

The only downside I see with the Nitro Invo is the lack of some sizes I would love to have one in 305/35/19

If someone talks shit because of treawear you have all right to knock him in the face, unless their all show and dont know anything about specs, sizes, compound etc and at that point they shouldnt talk lol, they should ask questions and learn.

So to be honest dont worry about the tread, look at a few things, price point, size compatibility to what you need, treadwear, compound, temp rating, is it XL or not

305/35/19 is a limited size right now thats the only downside.

Wish they made them in 285/40/18 - Think I'm going to have to use the NT555s instead when I eventually get my wheels. Could always stretch the 275/40/18s I suppose.

not worrying about what tread looks like is like buying a camaro or challenger because it performs too even knowing it's ass ugly lol.

just me but not gonna spend money on something that isn't pleasing to the eye. yeah there are other factors with thread wear, compounds, etc, but there is a reason I have the wheels on the car I have vs some other lighter weight uglier wheels that are out there. same reason why I have a mustang gt instead of some family 30mpg car that would still get me from point a to b.

to each his own of course but invo's tread pattern is like my 2 and half year old came up with it...even if it is functional haha. I would just say if if you're going nitto get one of the other models that perform just as good if tread pattern look matters to ya. If you don't care get the invo's or whatever else you can get a good deal on.

Tread pattern looks matter to me (to an extent) and I still got the invo's, because I think they look great. I dig their unique look that separates them from the crowd.

But I never choose a tire on looks alone. I try and choose the best bang for the bucks in terms of performance and if I like the looks its just a bonus.

Whenever I happen to park with my front wheel turned a bit and I notice the tread pattern, I always think..."sweet"
