I am purchasing a JLT CAI for my car, the previous owner had 6500 miles on it, does it really matter if he had it on for that many miles? Does it affect anything or does it really not even matter?

With those miles I dont think it really matters, only concer is if the filter was rubbing on something which could’ve put a hole or tear in it but it’s unlikely but you never can be to careful nowadays

Maybe the filter might be dirty but otherwise it shouldn't matter.
