I bet your 3.73's are killing your mph going into 5th gear.
^This is what I am guessing as well.
Anthony, could it be that your car isn't making as much power as you think it is? Could the dyno numbers be off?
Good luck!

Unfortunately you can't data log with the Whipple software and that is the only way to tell what is going on. Timing could be getting pulled due to knock or high IAT 2 temps thus reducing your horsepower and lowering mph. I would still like to know how Lethal Performance went 9.70 @ 150 mph with the Whipple and the 6 speed manual I know they ran around 20 psi on MS 109 fuel.
20psi?!?!? :eyebulge: That can't be on a stock block though.

I went out this weekend and still ran similar times / traps with the settings set as you did. Why short-shifting? Makes me wonder if i should lower my shift points or something. I still don't understand why my car is trapping so low. What was the temperature when you made that pass?

I'm thinking the whipple tune may be hurting my trap, wondering if i should get a custom tune done.
I was short shifting because it was the first and only pass I got to make that day. It was also about 90 degrees that day if I remember correctly. Remember I was using 3.625 pulley but on ms109 gas on the whipple cal. I highly doubt the calibration is the problem. Your car is actually running very well in my opinion. Hook up sct or ngauge and data log it make sure it isn't pulling timing or something.

I don't want to hi jack this thread so search you tube for lethal performance goes 10.05 @ 141 look at the bottom left of the screen at 0:53 sec. It shows 20.55 psi on one run and 18.47 on the other.

they claim 17 psi for their 9.7 @150 run according to a youtube comment on their video, but they are on MS109.

I know they were using the 10 rib kit with a 20% overdrive balancer and a 3.5 inch blower pulley which at sea level makes around 18 psi @ 7500 rpm. If you rev the motor to 8K you would see close to 20 psi.

Yeah I don't see myself going over 13 psi(on e85) on my setup. Unless i build the block.

I'll also be picking up a 3.31 pumpkin shortly to see how that helps. I need to get rid of the 3.73 with torsen before the torsen decides to take a shit, I tend to launch pretty hard at the track.

You should be making anywhere from 700 - 750 rwhp on a dynojet on 93 octane with the Whipple tune, on E85 and 14 psi you should have no problem making 800 - 850.

Right!! This whole trend of vendors putting down times that are impossible to duplicate has a lot of people guessing lately!

Quite honestly its getting sickening!

If car runs XX time the whole community would appreciate it if people wouldnt bullshit about it!

My guess is that they used NOS which would add 10 mph it's the only way they could go 150 mph. A 4000 lb car would need all of 800 rwhp to go 140 - 145.
