Well, I should receive my 2.9L whipple tuner kit on Tuesday for my 2015 GT. Just wondering what parts come with the current kits. Open or closed air box? Gates regular, HD, or RPM belt? Gen 3 or 4 compressor? Aluminum or plastic coolant tank? The PDF and the videos I've watched all seem to contain different combinations of parts. Also does the kit come with printed instructions? The PDF I found seems to be missing a few steps. Thanks

Also, does the tuner kit come with the IAT sensor? I hope it doesn't since I'll just have to immediately remove it.

I was just hoping someone who had recently received one of Whipple's kits could verify its current configuration.

The gen 4 is the old blower, no guarantees on what you got because whatever you got its been sitting in someones warehouse for quite some time. Could be any configuration from OG to final production run.

For custom tuning you will need the brass IAT sensor and harness, costs roughly $100 from any of the vendors on the forum.

That's not true. Whipple kits are built to order. That's why there's a 3 week lead time and why almost noone has them on a shelf. The Gen4 is the newest version of the 2.9L blower, while the 3.0L is a completely different blower designed for 2018+ DI cars. Whipple is still manufacturing both the 2.9L and the 3.0L.

gen 5 fits all 15 to 20 coyotes. The gen 4 we did last week was some one getting a deal on an old one sitting in stock.

Gen 4 was just released earlier this year. Don't know how it's "old"? I personally don't like the newer Gen5, looks like a GM product.

All the whipple blowers are available for GM's as well.

Did you get the oversized heat exchanger? The gen 4 we installed heat soaked like crazy, in this nasty ass summer weather we get in the midwest. Also ford changed coolant from orange to yellow but it looks green.

Here is the combination of parts I received with my tuner kit as of 5/11/20 when the order was placed. Closed plastic air box, standard Gates belt, Gen 4 rotors and case, plastic coolant tank, no IAT sensor and an updated instruction manual. I also believe that the TB has the motor and gear installed already, since the instructions don't say to swap them over.
