That's pretty neat. When my ex had a rubicon back in Cali with the hard top, whenever we wanted to take it off I would go underneath the whole top and just carry it on my back like a turtle 😆 and put it on the ground. It was a bitch to take off and put on. Hella fun though, off roading and such.

I love jeeps.... the gladiator look too, especially lifted ones with a winch and huge tires.
I one handed through the rear window to the back of the bed. That was pretty tough. The wife and I then got the top to the garage. Looks like I'll have enough room to build hangers for the doors on the Mustang side of my garage party wall. Still need to figure out the top.

Yeah it would be super easy to take it off even if your wife wanted to do it herself at times. It was really hard for me to do it without someone's help, it's pretty heavy and I'm tiny.

She can barely help with this top. She's got some permanent damage from a bad car accident amd a fall over a laundry basket that makes physical work tough for her. But we got it done.

I just need to get a good spot a winch in the garage and be done with it. Probably won't happen until late fall though.

Oh yeah, it's not that hard. I just need a little free time, which is in extremely short supply right now.

BTW, the winch (in my pic) is "fixed mounted" to that Unistrut channel, but it's designed to be able to use rollers/trolleys, and to be able to connect more channels end-to-end.

You can sort of see how the brackets are actually slotted to allow a trolley to move through them - so you could lift the top, then easily roll it several feet away from the lift location. The channel, brackets and trolleys are designed to handle 600+ lbs.
