Hey all,
I couldn't find any information here about taking care of new wheels/tires or in the cosmetic section (just cleaning/upkeep stuff). I have a new set of wheels and tires coming courtesy of Alex Need4SpeedMotors . I'm curious about the best way to make sure both the tires (Conti DWS06) and wheels (6GR) are taken care of properly before I put them on.
For the wheels, just going to throw a couple coats of Adam's paint sealant on them followed up by a layer of wax.
For the tires, what steps do you folks do or recommend? Should they be immediately cleaned and scrubbed (pretty cold here for that) and dressed? Can I just throw a coat of VRT on them for the winter and be happy? Or should they not have anything on them to breath? Not too concerned with cosmetics right now until the first good spring strip wash and detailing.
