Winter is fast approaching, as is the stress of buying winter tires. I fear any longer on my summer tires, and a crack will emerge. Temps have fallen around the low 30s, with some days cracking into the 20s. I'm desperate to find a solution to my woes.

Unfortunately, all tire places around me won't go square set up on my PP due to liability issues. The BS that comes from that is causing me to go towards an entire new set of wheels/tires specifically for the winter months. Here are some questions I have. Please help!

1. Can I do this by myself? I'm not sure how difficult it is with the TPSM
2. If I go with TireRack, does the tires/wheels come assembled?
3. Can I go with a 245 on these new wheels, and not affect the car's suspension or brakes?

I believe that's all I have to ask. I'll take all other suggestions, or opinions. Thanks so much!

I bought my wheel and tire setup from TireRack and had them mounted/balanced, received them ready to bolt on the car. Second car I've done this process on. For the mustang I use the Michelin xIce Xi-3 in 245/45/19, squared. I just don't know waht the offset is on the 19x8.5 wheels I bought. I did not and it's not required to buy new TPMS sensors.

I feel as that's some bs on the shops side but I get it

Let's get those questions answered

1. You can easily mount them on the car yourself, changing tires bought keep that to a professional
2. You can order a full package from tire rack and it arrives mounted and balanced yes
3. Depending on the width you can go to a 245 yes

This answers most of my questions. I'm talking on the line with them now, in the hopes of getting something ordered!

Will 245 fit right on a 9.5 rim width!?

You can do it typically specs are a 7.5 to a 9" but you can get away with a 9.5 for the setup.

This is what I got. The only difference is the rim I got was bigger. I hope that's not a problem.
