3 1/2 long months finally got the car back on the road. I continued where I left off from last season, tire shopping,
I have the original factory Mach 1 handling package rims 10.5 inch front and 11 inch rear, I’m going through my options for tires,

Continental sport contact 6
285 35 19 front
295 35 19 rear

Michelin pilot sport 4s
285 35 19 front
295 35 19 rear

Michelin pilot super sport
305 35 19 rear
Michelin pilot sport 4s
285 35 19 front

I would like to achieve as close to the same wheel diameter and sidewall as the Mach 1 non-handling package 255 40 19 front and 275 40 19 rear set up,

Currently I am running on Michelin sport cup 2’s with handling package specs, 305 and 315/30,

Does anyone have any knowledge if a 295 tire will fit on the 11 inch wide rim, as well as the 285 on the 10.5 inch rim?

295's will fit fine on 11" rim, 285-295 is recommended size, 305 is usually given as maximum (but clearly 315 from Ford or 325 used by others works just as fine).

Avoid PS4S 295/35 R19, they are meant for 10" Mercedes wheels and have narrower tread width, it's pretty much the same as on 275 so there'd be no improvement in width of contact area. And they also look very stretched as a result on an 11" rim.

As per your tire setup why did you not go with the Michelin super sport 285 up front?

From experience, I would go with the Conti 06 DWS. I have a 285/35r19 on a 10 inch wide wheel on the back and it perfect. I'm thinking you could do a 10.5 inch rim as well, but it might be stretched a tiny bit

Most people with the HP cars run PS4 in 305/315 or Conti in 305/325. I’m actually about to pull the trigger on some PS4 for my HP M1. Just curious why you want to go down in width vs the OEM widths?

Just wondering if there is some benefit I’m unaware of?

I have no issue with the OEM set up, although the fronts are a little too much meat in my opinion, therefore I am trying to go down a step or two, also I would like a bit more higher profile 35 as opposed to 30

I suppose I could've but figured why not choose the newer tyre.
PS4S is cheaper by $45 per tyre than PSS in that dimension.
Comparable on dry, better on wet, better sidewall design (though smaller edge protector).
For my weekend queen use-case it would really make no difference, aside from $180 more per set.

Just wondering if there is some benefit I’m unaware of?
More rubber for bad roads and smaller wheel gap with profile 35.
305/35 R19 is a size chosen for early years Shelby GT350 iirc, it works great in the rear.

I just put $2k on (4) 305/325 Nitto Invos. They are very enjoyable so far.

So I ended up going with the continental extreme contact sport 2,
285-35-19 front 10.5” rim
295-35-19 rear 11” rim
👍 or 👎, we shall see
I have them (in adult sizes of course) they are a great tire
