Which is a good thing even if you already got the update. That account lets you log maintenance activity that a dealer did not do.you have to register a new account and add your vin
I don't use the dealer for anything but warranty work that I don't have the skill to do or the parts/tools cost more than avoiding a dealer trip is worth.
When you sell the car, buyers are likely to want to see the dates various maintenance was done.
The site asks you to post what you spent but its a good idea to also list exactly what was used including brand/weight of oil and brand/model filter, etc..
