NEW SYNC 3.0 Build 20204 Nav Android Auto/Apple Carplay

Guys guys!! update! important message!! there are FOUR versions of 2.3 (16 Nav/non-Nav) (17 Nav/non-Nav), don't be using 16 VIN if you have 17 or vice versa, ONE file will NOT work for both years! it could brick the APIM. thanks to a friend who warned me about it on pm.:hail: maybe this is why 3.0 update wiped GN for some modules.

I downloaded mine and my install file says 17 NAV only.
Maybe there is a difference.
I have a 16gb usb drive, will it work?

Could ya'll compare the hash values for those tarballs?

It looks like the -AH*.tar.gz file is the only difference. That would be fun to dig into...

Also, since this seems to be for NAV only...maybe this is just the map update that was promised?

Premium: Sync 3 v1.0 - update via owner.ford.com and purchase MFC compliant USB hub listed on page 1.

Base: Sync 2

You need to create an account and register your car under that account.
You need to at least connect your car to WIFI to send version information to Ford server once.

I did....... it’s on the automatic update thing. Website says last time updated was dec 16

That's probably why (no nav should popup anytime now). Otherwise even f150 guys are getting the update show up on their side

There is no verification that any no-nav VINs have recieved updates...

It could be a nav-only sub-version update. Usually due to a security risk.

Anyone knows if Sync 3 is controlling climate control or not? My Mustang have this weird glitch that if I restart engine after sort period of time such as getting gas, the climate control would come back on abnormally as if the interior temperature sensor is not reading temperature correctly. In the summer time, it would read low causing very little cooling and in the winter it would read high causing too much cooling.
