Any way to differentiate from the 22 billion other Mustangs out there is OK in my book!

Current gen Mustangs are in a unique place. You have people of all ages that appreciate and enjoy the S550 platform. Teenagers, young adults, seniors, the list goes on. Thats what makes this car so special.

My father is in his 70s and absolutely hates modifications and thinks all cars should be stock. I cant stand stock cars, and a big reason I bought my mustang was the ability to add tasteful mods and really make it my own. His stock C7 has such an insane ugly wheel gap I cringe anytime I look at it, but he also cringes at my lowered mustang.

Generation gaps are real. It is what it is.
They may be real, but they are also evolutionary. when I was young and had my first car, a 1970 Dodge Challenger, 340, 4bbl, 4 speed, I was always looking for go fast and make it better parts for it. Dad had fast cruising cars. He told me that the manufacturer engineered the car to be what it was, and that changing parts to make it better only made it wear out faster; or something like that. All his cars were stock, at least the 5 that I knew he owned were.
Now I tend to leave my cars alone, and only make minor changes when I think it's needed, and mostly original equipment.
Funny how that worked.

Any of these emblems - whatever they say - come to close to imitating Shelby badges
I must confess... this has been bothering me for quite some time. I had someone put Shelby badges all over my Mustang. I paid someone to badge it and I don’t even know who did it.... some guy in Flat Rock I’m told. He did a pretty good job and made it look like it was factory installed....!!!!

Guys/gals... mod your S550 any way that makes you enjoy your car to the fullest... don’t look for approval from others.

I'm in favor of slathering your Mustang with any or all images, badges, racing/pit stripes, chrome doodads, scoops and dive planes, spoilers, bumpers, wings, grills—you name it—whether or not they improve performance. Even though I prefer simple and elegant—if any—appearance additions, and like them best if they are easily reversible, it's seldom you'll hear me make a derogatory statement about someone else's taste. But excuse me if I laugh up my sleeve and continue to slather my vehicles with tasteful simplicity and elegance.

WRT up-badging, there is a pretty clear line between pretending the vehicle is something it's not, and mentioning very obliquely an admiration for the referent. See for example the back (Plasti-dip™ blackened-out pony) and front (ditto and Terlingua Racing Team® badge) views of my conservative gray car. Still trying to decide if reflective orange racing stripes would be appropriate.

To show how long I've been Terlingua Racing Team-connected, here's a screen view of our 1966 Barracuda "Formula S" in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico, in the middle of a trip to Tepic, Sinaloa. And Shelby's welcome letter.

I have no recollection of what I wrote to Shelby (along with my application and the three dollars fee) that prompted him to refer me to D.E.D. that way. I do know I wrote to Davis several times for several reasons, and never heard a peep in return. As a contrast: I wrote a few (sometimes stupid) questions to Jerry Titus, and he always answered promptly and constructively, and without calling out my idiocy.
