Hello, wanted to join and get in on the discussions. Just bought my son a 2016 white mustang coupe. Surprised him with it after school today. It was awesome! He was speechless! What a beautiful car!!

Ha that's what all his friends at school asked me!! He's finishing his junior year and has done great, so he earned it.

Oh man...you better keep a tight hold on that one. I admitted to my dad all the dumb stuff I did in his taurus at age 17 (burnouts, 100+ mph, jumped RR tracks, etc) when I was 25 or so. I'm guessing you didn't get him a GT, but even 300hp is such a huge automotive responsibility.

Very cool! Congrats to your son and your ability to buy him something so fantastic. Now you guys go and make some memories. My Dad got me into cars and into Mustangs in particular. I have an incredible amount of memories of those times. We need to see some pics of this "White Stallion" !!

Good advice, I got the V-6. it's replacing his 2005 civic so it's a big upgrade! I think/hope he will behave!! I wouldn't have at 17, haha

I had an uncle that had a few when i was a kid and i used to sit in the engine bay and watch him tinker, i always loved them. we have to drive to Atlanta from Baton Rouge soon, so we will get plenty quality time!

LOL. MY dad tried to give me a 1955 panel truck when I was 17, it was a stick (3 on the tree) and was an orange color (actually, probably similar to CO, now that I think about it). I didn't get my first Stang until 5 years ago.....

My son asked if my new GT was going to him this fall when he turns 16. PFFT, yeah what ever dude! Knowing what we did to my moms suburban, my son is lucky to drive anything...LOL

HA, i had an old ford truck in High school, it was an old farm truck i got for 400 bucks. had to fill it up with oil and check the gas a few times a week! lol

You've just started him down a dangerous path! My parents bought me a white v6 stang when I was in high school (1998), and 21 cars later, here I am. LOL
