Ok everyone. Need feedback. If someone made peelable clear plastic that you could put on buttons, etc (like when you get it from the factory) would you buy them & keep your buttons covered so they wouldn't get rub marks, etc?

Not a chance. Not even when I'm 90 and my furniture is covered with plastic.

I think I wouldn't.

Makes me think about my firt cellphones, I was always keeping the plastic on the screen to keep it like new ... and when the phone was broken, few years later, I was trashing a phone with a brand new screen ...

Objects are made to be used and objects are, most of the time, more durable than people. Maybe our cars will run far after our deaths. Let's use them as long as we can. Once dead, I will be too late to enjoy the touch of your buttons!

Personally no.

I understand everyone is different, but I never understood the appeal of this sort of protection. Sure the part under it is pristine and looks brand new, but you never get to see it because of the used clear plastic cover.

I just take care and clean what I have.
