New Mustang Owner ages

43 and this will be my 3rd Ford & 2nd new car. First Ford was a Red XD, then I bought a new Mondeo Zetec back in 2007. I went for an Ecoboost as I want to drive my Mustang every damn day and don't give a fig about the "V8 rumble".

(Sharp intake of breath) heresy!

But I agree even though I'm getting the V8 - I found the drive I had in the Ecoboost to be very enjoyable.

A life long Holden man (thanks to Brocky) but have always loved the Mustang (thanks to Moffat's Boss 302). Never owned a Ford and currently drive a HSV Clubsport R8 & HDT VL Group A (my pride & joy). The HSV will go to make way for the GT.

It will be weird to drive the new Mustang to race meetings wearing my Holden gear, but my friends will get used to it ;-)

Stang is my 2nd new car after the 86

Before that was an ED Fairmont Ghia V8 and first car was a 1985 GC Madaz 626

I've always considered myself to be a Ford guy although when I was in the market for a brand new car I couldn't say no to the Toyota 86 four years ago. Otherwise XR6/XR8's were pretty close on the list too, but I just didn't need that many doors.

Fun fact: I waited 9 months for the 86 (deposit March 2012 to Dec 2012 delivery) and told myself i'd never put down a deposit on a 'new release model' again...

...11 months later here we are.

I never used to be a patient person so, to me, new car buying has been a life changing and enlightening experience, filled with the joys of personal development :lol:
