I will record it on video when I get the car back... Sounds like two pieces of metal hitting each other... Loud enough that people take notice... Funny how I'm told this is a normal noise and within specs but the other cars they have don't make that noise and neither did this car till now...

Like I said first and last Ford... Sorry. People warned me

Updated : so this is how ford takes care of the car and Golf Mil Ford Dealer operates... They can't figure out what is wrong??? Arrogant and assholes...they had the car for 2 days , replaced a part that didn't need to be fixed , admitted it still clunks into gear and then ford tells them it is normal.... First and last ford ever...

As for the creaking I had a GTO and it was parked outside for 8 years and didn't creak .... Sorry but this Ford Mustang looks good but is a piece of shit.. My mistake .
Yea I wouldn't be too happy with that message either. I strongly suggest PM'ing FordService as Todd mentioned earlier and have them follow up. All cars have issues and it would suck for this to ruin your experience with your new stang. I used to be a former GM guy as well and can tell you I have zero regrets with switching.:ford: Give it some time to sort itself out.

Please avoid crapping on an entire company and their cars because of an isolated problem. You'll find individual cars with problems across all manufacturers in all price ranges and countries of origin. I hope your issue gets fixed and you are happy with the resolution, but stop taking potshots.

I post this being in total agreement that the dealer dropped the ball with you.

My problem with Ford so far has been that they are back to the old buisness model... We got your money and could care less now...

I have had issues with other products before , but its how they treat you after the purchase that determines if you will be a one time buyer or repeat...

So far this is it. Ford had one chance .. One and done. Just filed for a buy back on the car.

Will post video of "normal " clunk later..

Completely agree, and I am a self confessed Bow Tie Fan.

My GT with PP has had one cosmetic issue and that's it. At 3,000 miles it is as nice as the day I bought it and at 60% of the price of my C7 it's a damned fine car.

I could nit-pick it down to the fastener level, but that's just being an a-hole. :)

I had issues with my brand new mustang, too. The catalytic converter was replaced and they fixed a small dent that I missed when taking it off the lot. They were extra courteous and went out of their way to get everything fixed ASAP. I contacted Ford Service through the forum here first, though. Rachel contacted the dealer for me and told them we meant business! heh :ford:

Did you attempt to go to another dealer? I know this never happens in the Chevy or Pontiac scene () but there are some dealers that don't try as hard as others.

However, it sounds like your mind is set and you should have never let the brand bias fade enough to make the purchase.

I hope it works out for you however you end up.

You act like Ford has absolute control over how their dealers treat customers. There's a reason Ford bases allocation on customer surveys. To flippantly say blanket statements like "Ford doesn't care about their customers after they have your money" is childish and ignorant.

It sucks that your car has a "clink" issue. Stuff like that happens, it's an imperfect machine made by robots made by imperfect beings.

That being said have you tried taking it to a different dealer as was suggested?

Not to be a complete jerk, but is it also possible there is a bit of buyers remorse in this? You said you were a life-long GM guy wow'd by the new looks "but it's just a POS". Frankly I think a bit of brand loyalty may be "enhancing" the noise.

Come back and let us know how perfect your GM product is. We all know those never have problems.
