I just bought 2 305/35/19 pilot super sports for the rear and am using my stock 275/40/19’s for the front. I think it’s a awesome deal.
But you’re using a different Michelin tire. You have. 4s in the front and regular super sport in the rear ? Because they don’t make 4s in that size. Plus you’re riding higher I’m the front than the rear. A 275/40R19 is taller than a 305/35R19. A little awkward. If anything. Keep the 275’s and ride 285/40 in the rear.

And when it comes to buying them separately with out tires it doesn’t make it worth it in my opinion.
I don't get why it makes a difference, except for convenience. Buying new Michelins will cost the same (or a little more for size changes) regardless of the wheels they're mounted on. It comes down to whether the cost of the wheels is a good deal or not.

They just came in here to complain about something

It’s not complaining about. “Something”. I’m simply complaining about the fact that the tires the enthusiast stores including LMR offer are sub par. I assume they feel like very few people are going to see value in spending more on the tires than the wheels they just purchased when it comes to stock and possible profit. But It’s a little backwards when you think about it. And that applies to them all from CJs to LMR right down to Lethal not offering the best tires out that actual enthusiasts might want. There should absolutely be a slightly higher end option instead of having to buy wheels from one place and another from a tire shop. That’s all.

If the offsets are the same as the GT7 wheels, I have a set that I daily with 285/35’s. There is a tiny bit of poke on the rear tires, but the front is pretty flush. No figment issues at all
Would it be better to run 295s square?

Even after just ordering s350 wheels and the g2 nitto package, I totally agree with you and even called and asked if they had other tire choices. that's the whole idea of getting a package already mounted and getting the tire you "want".

I ordered the 10/11 graphite staggered set with the Cooper Zeons... I'm second-guessing myself now and should have just purchased something better in a 305 rear. Well, they're being delivered in the next day or so and if the Coopers suck, I might have to test out the line lock a bit more often!! LOL!

The 305/35/19 overall diameter is 27.7 and the 275/40/19 is 27.4 so I don’t think I’ll even notice the .3 plus the front is lower so it’s not like the front is gonna ride higher then the rear.

So what are people running related to staggered and 4s tires? I love my 4s and would like to keep them but I've been debating on staggered vs square given I don't want to go 305/30/19 on the rear as I currently have stock ride height with magnaride. Are most running 295/35/19 in the rear?

Not sure but I was thinking my next set of tires will be 295/35/19 rear just to see if it makes a huge difference and if it doesn’t then I’ll stick with those. My car is a dd and doesn’t see much fun action most the time.

What does magnaride have to do with tire size?

But it’s not a 4s. Different tread. That would bother me.

Yeah I wanted 4s but they don’t make that size. Unfortunately 305/35/19 is a oddball size and there’s not too many good tires in that size. The Michelin super sport is probably the best street tire in that size.

Any reason to prefer SP2 to R357?

Right now price is is the same but R357s are roughly 1 pound lighter.
