Yeah, Carlos is great to deal with. I've always liked the "Hyper Silver" silver color but you're right, vehicle color can make wheel selection challenging.

I just want whichever silver is the closest to chrome in appearance.

Am hoping Carlos can maybe get two wheels next to each other, they can be different designs but one liquid silver and the other machined silver so I can see the difference of them both when taken in the same photo.

I think these are machined or hyper silver:

Think Carlos said machined and I love the way they look but can't find any photos of that car where its not being photoshopped or in natural light outside.

That looks a lot like H.S. to me and l know Bimmers (which you have) and other luxury/upscale cars makers often offer that wheel finish.
You are so right with many of these aftermarket wheel photo's being altered via filters and such making very difficult to get a good idea of the actual color, which brings me to Liquid Silver.

L.S. from the pic's l have seen looks a lot like H.S. but again it's hard to tell. I'm not sure but l have only seen the term used by MRR but l could be wrong.:shrug:
l think the pic you posted just may be L.S. since it's an MRR wheel.

Edit: Have you looked at a PVD chrome finish? It looks just like chrome without using an actual plating process to achieve the same look. Had a set of wheels with this finish, the good thing about it is it won't peel off like chrome plate and it's much more ECO friendly to use.

PVD finish does look good, but maybe to close to chrome haha and I'd be worried if it makes the wheel a lot heavier.


Paul at NFSM kindly sent me these images of the different silvers he has taken photos of in person which were all from MMR:

From those photos liquid silver and machined silver look my best bet.

Not so many cars on this forum with silver wheels, or certainly MMR silver wheels, most are all dark/black so makes it tougher to make a decision.

yep thats our batch of GF6 wheels we picked up and that was a Local F32 owner we did the setup on.

Yeah they do look good, machined look the closest to polished out of the bunch, but the liquid silver seems to have maybe a little extra depth and ever so slightly darker shade.

You got any images of MMR Liquid silver actually on a car Paul?
