These are the new colors for 2017 model year. I wonder which will make their way to the Mustang...

If they had said Tahitian Pearl, that might have made me wait...

Lightning Blue
Burgundy Velvet Tinted Clearcoat
White Gold
Smoked Quartz Tinted Clearcoat
Canyon Ridge
Chrome Copper
Orange Spice Tri-Coat
Bohi Bay Mint
I hope chrome copper and Orange spice are badass, I love Orange

Been hoping to see a deep dark metallic purple...no dice again, it seems.
Tahitian Pearl (from my OP) is a metallic purple, and I'd be all over that. But it's still Lincoln-only.

Lightening Blue replacing DIB is the only plausible one I see for 2017. Isn't that the year they're introducing a variation on the Liquid Blue of the GT, Raptor, and Focus RS? Maybe that's going to be the signature performance color. The rest are probably Lincoln, Fiesta, and Taurus colors.
They say Liquid Blue will never be sold, that it is for showing off new FP cars only.

I find it hard to believe that in this technology age where we can do just about everything... Ford has robots switching out paint nozzles on command and painting different colors side by side in the same booth... That someone at ford can ONLY come up with 11 colors for the mustang???? Computers run everything now so why oh why can't we have a machine that can pull from several "base" color palettes to create 30-40 different colors on our cars. No wonder every single car looks the same when you only have 11 colors. Seems like the one color "black" back in the day had more color options than today's cars.
Off my rant now.

If they could make an metallic burnt orange like in my avatar, I'd be sold. Definitely wish there were more colors across the range. I mean if they are on other models, they should be available on the Mustang. Seems other models get some nicer colors, especially the Focus and Fiesta in the ST models and the Edge/Explorer in their sport models.

I wish all car manufacturers did what Dodge does with the Viper. Full customization. I want to fully choose what color I want, not be left to choose from a specific set of 10 or so colors.

That's a GT350 only color and probably never coming. Just like their liquid blue for their performance series.
All these new colors that are talked about here are not on the 2016 Mustang build page so I don't think you will see them this year...if at all. The Avalanche Gray color is offered on the GT 350 build page so thats here already

Is it just Me but I`m getting so tired of Black, White, and 50 Shades of Grey. Enough already. Every second or third Car on the road is the same damn Color. Maybe Henry had it right to begin with and simply offer every vehicle only in "Black"!

True, but seriously, do you think that be it `15, `16, `17, or `18 Model Year there will be any movement whatsoever from Black, White, or Fifty Shades of Grey?

The Copper color sounds nice and would be more orange than Competition Orange which almost looks red in certain lighting.

I'm still waiting and holding out hope for my favorite Mustang color in 2018, Dark Highland Green, on a new Bullitt for the 50th anniversary of the movie.
