New Fault

Noticed this on mine as well but not convinced it is a fault. I seem to recall it happening when the lighting conditions change - i.e. heading down a road with a lot of tree coverage where the daylight is not as strong, the lights come on. Much like the auto dimming of the rear view mirror?
