Interesting. At least I have it narrowed down. I'll need to decide if I want to sacrifice a little of the sound I'm looking for to ensure no drone.

ARH sounds pretty damn awesome if you're looking for that old school muscle sound and you're not wanting it too loud. It does open up (break in) after a few hundred miles which then sounds perfect.

We just did an install yesterday for a customer:)

I just installed Magnaflow quad exhausts with the included xpipe on my gtpp and to me, sounds exactly how i want it. Deep low rumble on cruise and a loud roar when im gunning it. Inside the cabin I dont have to fight the exhaust noise. I can still use the phone and hear the radio , but better yet I hear little to no drone on the highway.

I have a lot of time to shop to and have been listening and reading since the 2015 exhaust product went up on the web. I still haven't found what I'm looking for.

I found the sound early in Magnaflows and Gibson but a few days and clicks later discovered I'd have to put up with the drone or shift around that sweet spot when it hits. This won't work for me but lots do and can. This is subjective stuff for sure.

Ford Racing (by Borla?) and Corsa seem to make no drone exhaust but I don't like the Borla sound from most videos and Corsa stopped making the touring exhaust which I liked. Last time I called Corsa they said no intention of making the touring but I hope that's just for now. Guess they're having fun selling Corsa Sport and Extreme to the no Drone owners.

I hear that the videos don't always do the exhaust justice so starting tomorrow I'll be around more Mustangs and ask around for some help.

In advance, congrats on the new wheels:headbang:

Sweet and I'm always glad to hear about exhaust mods, outside of California.

Axle backs are the only ones that are kinda wide open I think.

Just installed the Ford Racing Borla Touring. I am really happy with the sound, nice rumble at low RPM, no drone while cruising, sounds great when you punch it. It's a little louder than the videos make it sound. This is a DD so the Borla Sport would be too loud for my taste.

I agree with this^ The key within the system is the H-pipe/resonator. The Borla Touring sounds great as well.

I just replaced my resonator with an h-pipe from cjpony parts. It's actually pretty good with the stock mufflers. Although it sounds a bit "metallicly" at idle like if something was lose. Still way better than stock. It's quiet at idle and the a bit louder as you haul ass.

Hey guys. I need some help choosing a new exhaust system and I was hoping somebody could point me in the right direction. I just ordered a 2016 GT so I have some time to shop around.

I'm looking for an old school V8 sound. Deep, no rasp, no drone, loud but not over the top loud. Some of these exhausts sound like they belong on something other than a V8 mustang and they sound a little corny to me. Any help is greatly appreciated. From the research I've done so far, it sounds like I want a H pipe system. I like the sounds of the ARH and SW from what I've heard.
I would start simple...xpipe. ...maybe muffler delete ...new tips...very economical. ...or at least xpipe then mufflers roush or MagnaFlow are what I have been seeing.

I have the SW h-pipe on my '15 auto with 3:55 gears. the drone; is for me; irritating in the 50 to 65mph range. i had the borla S on my '13 GT it was very nice and is what i wish i would've gone with on this one now in retrospect. the H pipe does sound better to me then the X of the borla so i would imagine a borla S system with an H would be perfect. which is my plans eventually.

Sound is so subjective. Everyone will advise to buy the one they have on their car. I suggest listening to sound clips on YouTube. Just do a search of your your engine and the exhaust you want to hear...most likely it will be there. For ex. 2015 GT Borla S Catback. ( gee that is what i have and i love it ).
I also have borla s type catback and I love it but the stainless works sounds great also .
