quick cheap trick i used on my SRT and worked super well was duck tape the shit out of the charge pipes. A son of a b**** to get back on but never failed me once. Tune ill probably be going to a local guy out here in socal we all go to (addiction motorsports) i know cobb and map are GREAT tuners. Just not a huge fan of canned tunes.
Well i wouldn't call map a canned tune. Hell send you a tune and youll have send him back a log to see if it needs fine tuning

You can get an e-tune from Adam (MAP) that'll blow the crap out of everything else. With EcoBoosts especially, you want a tuner that's familiar with the platform and it's quirks/characteristics. I'd highly recommend going with an established EB tuner.

Sorry should have clarified..... I call all mail tunes canned tunes, just something i say no disrespect. But with that said i much prefer to have the car on a dyno and actually see what's going on. Prefer street tunning but that's another topic lol.

It'd recommend reading, reading, and a little more reading. Answers to most any question so far has been covered. Making new threads on topics that have already been covered could come across as lazy. Congratulations on the car.

Adam's tune is basically a street tune. You record datalogs from street pulls in 3rd gear, send him the logs, and then he revises the tune. You do that a few times until you get the tunes dialed in to your car. With Adam's e-tuning, you get lifetime tunes. Whatever upgrades, multiple fuels, etc., it's all covered.

Also it doesn't hurt to check the gap on your spark plugs .027 to .029 is ideal. Alot are out of spec from the factory.

"Besides changing out the oil right when I get home" where do people get these ideas from?

I wouldn't be in a rush to mod your car but let it go 1000 miles and break it in gently. I would never beat on a car just off the show room floor.

Never believed in the whole breaking in stuff.... If a motor isn't assembled correctly it's not gonna run right from the start.

I remember reading online that a Ford engineer said the factory fill was a 5w20 weight. It's not going to hurt your engine (or otherwise Ford wouldn't have filled it with it), but even when I changed mine out, it was pretty watery. Run it for about a 1k miles and give everything some time to get broken-in/seated then change it to a better weight and quality oil.
