Yeah I remember someone said that, however before I install the red vinyl many drivers behind me flashes and complaints about being blind by my taillights :D Hopefully vinyls dim them a bit.
Don't know, stock US sidemarkers seem visible but not so bright!

Complaint about the brightness of the "parking mode" of the tail lights ?? :eyebulge:

For me, all the people complain about the brightness of the brake lights. Standard lights are really not bright.

And Yes, the sidemarkers are very bright and very visible by night :D

that's what I thought :D

The "parking mode" is quite invisible in a sunny day (or pinkish) and the brake light is so crazy bright by night :eyebulge:

I was thinking the same thing Saturday evening when driving and seeing my car in shop windows. It is very bright, but buses and trucks also have their "sidemarkers" and they are also bright. Saw a police car in the opposite lane, but as they were on the move (lights on) I do not know what their reaction would have been.

@John: you plugged it to the tail lights, are they then as bright at night as papinist's lights?

At the beginning of the following video you can see how the US OEM sidemarkers look like, it is bright too. Had them on my 2012 V6 and they were bright too.

Yes very true, but it was exactly the same thing with the previous generation, my lights on my 2012 V6 would light up as a Christmas tree as soon as you hit the brakes.

At least other drivers cannot say they do not see us brake or see us at all

yes other are also bright but almost here in Italy (I believe it's the same in all europe) sidemarkers are mandatory only above a certain lenght, and no cars have it (yeah maybe a limo... :D ). Don't know if this 'mandatory' rule allows smaller veichle to have it. Maybe it's not illegal to have sidemarkers on veichle shorter than a certain lenght. After all, I am more visible than before.
This without considering that rear sidemarkers should be amber

Maybe the brightness could be the same, the difference is that stock light is 2 cm wide, the new one is 10 cm :D

I just received my DD Sidemarkes, it looks good. I can't find any instruction manual for EU version, should I follow pictures from this thread instead? :)

in the second box (with wires) you should have a small leaflet with three steps (yeah not too much informative). Probably this thread has more info :D
