It can be done ...
Now I can swap taillights in a matter of minutes, plug & play.

With this, with the front switchbacks and the rear fog light that I will install .... I should be ready for Europe.

My EU clear taillights should be on sale in april once i've got a new upgraded EU set installed.
It will be : Clear lens (std in EU) but with sequence RED turnsignals and 3 RED lights at brake. No amber left in this config...:amen:

So you've put in the EU taillight in an US car.
No mods?
And the amber is blinking as an EU version and the red is blinking like the US version?
Without any modification?

This looks like the functionality of this is build into the light unit itself...

NO.

The Car needs mods but it can be done in a way you can still use the OEM connector for a quick swap.

It seems that there are a few options there, and I have chosen the option to route signals from the front BCM (Passenger side).
