That was because the led comes with a plug (for the us cars with an existing cable). We need to cut them off and reconnect them to the license plate light. Or buy a plug for some crazy reason

To have something that looks like the OEM version, you definitely need the socket and the connector.

Mmm I am not convinced by that.. light is too long for me. We should have this in amber and without light, now we (at least me) have red and probably I will go for a lighted version, but going to a 20 cm red bar on the side seems to me too much (both for appearance and for police..)

If you're looking for that kind of output you could buy American ones

Oh and these are cheaper than stock ?!?

Edit: I agree with John, better with socket and connectors, but don't agree with a 30$ connector!!
If I'll go with these, I have to find a different solution
