I just purchased a 17 gt350. The prior owner put a sound system in there. While playing anything through the radio only the center dash speaker runs. If I plug in astell &kern music player in the USB everything works fine including the sub.. the astell and kern was left from previous owner.. any ideas

make sure the driver position setting under audio setting is set to all seats.

Do you know what aftermarket equipment was used?

Without more info its just speculation but I have seen people completely bypassing their factory system by using a media player or iPad as the input to an aftermarket amp, sometimes through a line driver to get the signal strength up. From the after market amp he could have wired to the speakers using a harness and then left the Center active on the Factory radio to handle the chimes.

Does your bluetooth work? Where does that audio come out from when you are talking on your cell? Some aftermarket amps also have a BT dongle that allows you communicate from your phone (or media player) directly to the amp again completely bypassing the factory radio.

Is the amp easily accessible, can you post a picture taking care to capture the inputs.

So you don't have a way to contact the previous owner? Maybe you don't want to, he's looking for his A&K, lol...

Yea ill take a picture.. all sound comes out of the center dash speaker only time I got all the speakers and sub to work was with a astell & kern media player. Bluetooth works since I can connect my cell but the media player is a hit or miss with factory recognizing it.

Ok, it has a Mosconi DSP.
How is that DSP connected on the input side?
Is the Mediaplayer directly connected to the DSP? If yes, then it would be good to know if the stock headunit is also connected to the DSP. If not, change that. The Mosconi DSPs can automatically switch inputs if f.e. the input of the MediaPlayer detects a signal.

On the other hand, if you connect the headunit to the DSP, why would you need the MediaPlayer anymore?

nice setup!

So I have to agree, they probably left the center speaker connected so the chimes, navigation, and notifications still work.

That Mosconi unit handles the audio from the player. Kind of sucks as they could have used a PAC PRo unit and ran everything through the system and not just the player.

Go to an installer and let him sort that out.
Yes, that costs money, but this will be well spent, because that equipment ist really top notch and deserves good treatment.

Well, JL amplifiers and as it looks a JL W6 sub and Mosconi DSP. Yes, that is some really good equipment.

That’s an understatement! It’s actually a W7 subwoofer 😳 There’s no PVAC at the end of the pole piece. Based on the photos, I’d wager that he has an XD1000/1 running the sub and a XD800/8 running everything else. Makes you wonder what the front speakers are...C7’s?
