Got the rear calipers painted this weekend with the red G2 kit. The color is not a 100% perfect match to the Bullitt Brembos but close enough.

Turned out great. I have a red G2 kit waiting for my install. How long does it take them to dry? I believe it says like 24 hours, which seems like a long time.

Thanks, It was 90 minutes to lay on 3 coats for both calipers. 3 hours till dry to the touch. Put the wheels back on after 24 hours
I used some 2 inch 180 grit sanding discs from Harbor Freight to smooth out the calipers before painting. I think it made a big difference in how smooth the paint went on.

I'm about to order a set of these for my base 18 gt. Do I need to order Front Anti-Rattle Pad Clips and Support Hardware? Or does that come with part #KR3Z-2B121-A and KR3Z-2B120-A? Should I order new banjo washer and bolts when changing calipers?

I heard you can get the washers from the local auto store for a lot cheaper than Ford. As for the bolts, I am using my old ones. For the clips and pins I bought them from Optimum Peformance. They were $19 for a full set, while Ford want's like $29? a side. So it's significantly to use Optimum Performance for them.

I currently checked on the hardware as I just received my calipers. They’re $43 but I didn’t see where it said per side or if that’s for both. I also got the Optimum Performance ones, a definite savings there. @Vincent518 , I got the calipers from Ford and it’s literally just the calipers. No banjo bolt washers or hardware

Yep, mine came the same way. I bought the pads, rotors, washers, hardware, and dust shields separately. I'm reusing my bolts and brake lines. The calipers are nice for the price.

For sure, I did the same. You said you got your banjo bolt washers from a hardware store? I have some laying around at work from other cars I’ve had but have no idea what size I’d need

I've heard they do sell them at auto stores, but my buddy who's a mechanic had a bunch at work and gave me them. I'm not sure of the size, but someone on here might know.

I ordered the part number FR3Z-2068-C pin kits from Levittown at $22 each when I ordered the calipers. OP Mustang is definitely the way to go now as the price jumped to $88. WTF Ford.!

Any time you remove the line from the caliper (whether you replace the caliper or not), new washers for sure (two per banjo bolt). The banjo bolts themselves should be fine unless obviously damaged.

If I already have a PP then all I will need is new brackets and washers? Or is it the OP mustang kit that includes all the bolts and washers I will need?
