Any car that was deemed 5* before all these safety aids would fail under the new, dodgy, NCAP criteria.

My 1997 3 series is now considered impossible to drive without dying every time I pop to the shops.

There have been a few spectacular crashes here in the UK, mainly thanks to crap weather and Pzeros, and despite totalling the S550s involved, all owners and passengers have walked away unhurt.

The only reason the Mustang has 2* over here is because features such as BLIS and ACC are not available as options.

Options!!!!!

This is precisely why there should be two ratings. One for the actual crash worthiness, and another for the crash avoidance. Grouping them into one rating is misleading to say the least. I would much rather be driving a car with a 5 star crash protection rating with 0 avoidance features than driving one with 10 avoidance features and a 1 start rating.

My son rides in the back all of the time. What's the issue with the rear belts? Since he is in a car seat I pull the belt all of the way out so it is locked, but on a serious note can someone shed some light my way.

I've seen a couple of this guy's videos, they're nothing but overly harsh whiny click-bait. This dude is a twat.

The sad part is, most people in the youtube comments section seem to be taking his word as gospel - vowing never to buy a Mustang or let any relatives ride in one - without actually asking why the rating would have changed or what the new ratings account for.
